SVP Global’s Growth Story

Our History

Making of the Legend

Our founder, Shri Vallabh Pittie is a guiding light to us. The story of how our organisation was conceived and built is nothing short of motivation.

In 1895, a young 13-year-old boy started his journey from a village in Rajasthan, Nagaur. Shri Vallabh Pittie was a determined person. He walked by foot to Ajmer and took a train to Hyderabad. He wanted to exploit his potential and build something valuable. In Hyderabad, he found a job but had an instinctive urge to make Mumbai his home. He followed his heart and started his journey towards Mumbai. After reaching there, he struggled endlessly to make a mark of his own.

Finally, he found answers to his questions when he established the SVP Group in 1898. His dream and his vision had transformed into a business venture. Since then, SVP Group has diversified into several verticals like Finance, Retail, Textile and Real Estate.

He was also inclined towards bullion trade and took a keen interest in it. Eventually, he became one of the founding members of the Bombay Bullion Exchange. Today, it is known as the Bombay Bullion Association. SVP Group continues to be an active member of the association.
